Memorial service: Jørgen Lange

We hereby announce the passing of
Jørgen Lange

There will be a memorial service for Jørgen right after the service in Portuguese with Pastor Roberto Baptista on July 2nd at 12:00 pm.

Jørgen Lange was born on August 7, 1917 in Sonderborg, Denmark, the second son of Jørgen Lange Petersen and Ellen Astrid Jenny Nielsen Petersen. He studied and worked in the Sonderborg region, and set up a clothing store in Graasten, until 1952. He married Marie Rasmussen in September 1946, and they had two children, Jorgen in 1948 and Ellen in 1950. In August 1952 he decided to move He moved to Brazil, having settled first in Rio Grande-RS, and soon after in Porto Alegre, where he opened an ice cream factory. In 1960 he moved with his family to São Paulo where he worked for the Krupp company until 1992. Jorgen was a cheerful, optimistic, active person, active in the community and a family man. With Marie they formed a pleasant couple and were excellent parents and, with the arrival of their grandchildren (6), excellent grandparents. With Marie’s passing in 2007, he continued an active life, participating in family gatherings, weekends at the beach or in the countryside, his walks and reading the daily newspapers. He is greatly missed and an example of an honest, adventurous and well-lived life.

Jørgen is survived by his two children Jorgen and Ellen, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
