Our history

Surrounded by nature the Scandinavian Church is a refuge within the city of São Paulo. The church was founded in 1962 and the construction of our beautiful building finished in 1973. Currently we have a Swedish flying priest, who visits the church regularly, as well as a collaboration with priests from Brazil, Norway, Finland and Denmark. Services in Portuguese are also held frequently and people of any origin, who are interested in the Scandinavian culture, are welcome to our church!

The Church has a cremation memorial, available for members and their loved ones. It’s use is governed by internal rules, available in the document below (in Portuguese).
